Heat and Serve Organic Brown Rice Bowl

The nutty taste of brown rice goes well with the richness of mushrooms. For variety, add 2 shiitakes (stem discarded and caps diced) for the white button (or cremini) mushrooms. Delicious topped with grated Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients:

  • 1- Heat and Eat Organic Jasmine Brown Rice

  • 2 -Tablespoons Oil

  • 1/2- Yellow Onion, chopped

  • 1- Whole Egg

  • 1/4 Cup- Peas

  • Tamari

Preparation:

  1.  Heat pan with oil

  2. Pull back film on Heat and Eat Organic Jasmine Brown Rice bowl and quarter the rice( it will make it easier to break down into pan.)

  3. when oil is hot, add the onions to sauté

  4. when onions are cooked to preference, turn heat down to medium.

  5. Add the egg to scramble with onions.

  6. Add the rice from the Heat and Eat package, break down clumps by pressing rice to the bottom/side of pan until uniform.

  7. Add peas to completely mix with onions, egg and rice.

  8. Season with Tamari to taste & scoop into a serving dish at dinner time!
