Place the tofu in a bowl and use a potato masher, fork or your fingers to crumble into smaller bits. Set aside.

Place a sauté pan over a medium-high heat. Add the sesame oil. When hot, add the onion, carrot, garlic and ginger and cook, stirring frequently, for 3-5 mins, until the onion has softened.

Add the smoked paprika, turmeric, chili flakes (if using), rice, water and tamari to the pan. Stir until the spices are well combined (~1 min).

Add the tofu and peas to the pan. Cook, stirring frequently, until the peas are thoroughly warmed through (~2-3 mins).

Top with spring onions and serve immediately.
