Ingredients

Meat

  • ½ lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  •  tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • ¼ tsp ground pepper
  • cooking oil, as needed

Sauce

  • ¼ cup gochujang fermented red pepper paste
  • 2 tbsp cup sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Vegetables

  •  cup bean sprouts
  • 1 small carrot, julienned
  • 3 cups spinach
  • salt, as needed
  • sesame oil, as needed
  • cooking oil, as needed
  • 6 shiitake mushrooms, thinly sliced

Eggs

  • cooking oil, as needed
  • 2 eggs

Garnish

  • 2 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp scallions, chopped

Organic Jade Pearl Rice™

    Cook rice according to directions on package.

    Prepare meat: combine all ingredients (except for cooking oil). Marinate for 15 mins.

    Prepare sauce: combine all ingredients, set aside.

    Prepare vegetables: in a medium pot, separately blanch bean sprouts, carrots, and spinach. Remove vegetables from water and place in a bowl. Add a pinch of salt and a drizzle of sesame oil to each type of vegetable. Heat cooking oil in pan and sauté mushrooms with a pinch of salt. Remove from heat and set aside.

    Cook meat: heat cooking oil in pan and cook beef thoroughly. Remove from heat and set aside.

    Cook eggs: heat cooking oil in pan and fry eggs. Remove from heat and set aside.

    Build bowls: add rice to large bowls. Top with vegetables, beef, egg, sesame seeds, sauce and scallions. Mix everything together.
